High School Artists Paint Pets With Vibrant Colors
In the hallway of Eastside Animal Hospital, Jefferson High School's Painting I art students got to display whimsical pieces of their acrylic pet art in their first-ever exhibit “Unexpected Color.” Rather than painting their pets with typical browns, blacks, and whites, students chose bright pinks, greens, and purples, reminiscent of the vibrant George Rodrigue Blue Dog series. The community was so receptive that teacher Dawn Struck will be bringing the pieces to local cafés and flower shops.
