House Reauthorizes Violence Against Women Act!

In a bipartisan 286 to 138 vote, the House passed a version of the Violence Against Women Act that will extend protection to LGBT Americans, Native Americans and immigrants. After the vote, President Obama released a statement expressing his support for the bill, calling it "an important step towards making sure no one in America is forced to live in fear."
