How Walkable is Your Neighborhood? A New App Gives You Better Data

WalkScore's great for telling you how far you are from the essentials—grocery stores, libraries, shopping, bars. But a new app called Walkonomics goes beyond just measuring distance to measure things like how easy it is to cross the street, how hilly it is, how safe a street is, and even how beautiful it is. So far, it's only available in the U.K., Manhattan, and San Francisco, but more cities are coming soon.
