In Honor of Malala, Pakistan's President Pledges $10 million to Support Girls' Education

At a "Stand Up for Malala" advocacy event in Paris, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari pledged $10 million for girls' education, noting that educating girls is the best way to fight extremism. "I have no doubt that our resolve to provide education to all, in particular to the millions of schoolgirls, is the best strategy to defeat the forces of violence," he said.
