Intermission: Culture Traffic Jamming

In the following video experiment, the artists Rune Madsen messes with the flow of traffic on a city sidewalk, revealing something essential about human behavior in the process.

Most people's default setting appears to be following the person in front of them through the pathway. Those trailblazers who break protocol inevitably leave a trail of copycats behind them.
