Lake County, FL Now Requiring Pet Licenses

In an effort to prevent the spread of rabies in Lake County, Florida, the Conservation and Compliance Department is requiring that all pets-- cats, dogs, and ferrets, get licensed. This just means that the pets need proof of a current rabies vaccine. Considering that animal control officers in the area recently had to put a possibly-rabid fox down, do you think the licenses should be required of non-outdoor pets?
