London Underground Celebrates 150 Years With Awesome Stamp Collection

The Tube, an icon of London and a marvel of modern transport, is celebrating 150 years. Part of the celebration highlights graphic design that has thrilled commuters and travelers for the run of the system. The set of six stamps from the Royal Mail forms a visual timeline of the development of the London Underground—for example, a lithograph of the first underground trains near Paddington station in 1863 and Tom Eckersley's iconic illustration of Boston Manor.
