Man in Fiji Makes Boat From Littered Plastic Bottles
600 littered plastic bottles were used by Tom Davies, a New Zealand native living in Fiji, to create this boat. It measures 4.5 metres long and 1.4 metres wide. All the 600ml bottles used are glued together to a layer of foam underneath. In Tom’s tests, the boat can hold up to three big Fijian men.
Tom’s vision is for villagers to reuse the massive number of plastic bottles littering the seashores and roadsides.
