MU students prepare to provide medical care to communities in Panama and Ghana
Members of the MU chapter of Global Medical Brigades are Central America- and Africa-bound this summer. Students will travel to either Panama or Ghana to provide medical assistance to communities in severe health care droughts; some areas of Ghana have only one doctor to serve 48,000 people. To prepare, volunteers will raise funds for medical supplies and personal expenses while also mastering languages and medical procedures.
