Often I'm in a car en route to a National Park and someone raises the frustrating fact that we have to pay a fee to enter our National Parks.
I want to share why those fees are important.
Imagine Yosemite or the Grand Canyon as suburban sprawls, filled with strip malls/oil rigs. Now think about that $10-20 fee. That fee ensures our great parks are protected in perpetuity from developers! So please, pay that fee with pride knowing your contributing to National Park land preservation.
