Pussy Riot receives peace award from Yoko Ono

In a ceremony that Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova could not attend, but her husband and four-year-old daughter could, all three members of the punk band were awarded a peace prize from Yoko Ono. "I'm fighting for my daughter to be able to grow up in a free country," Tolokonnikova said in an interview with Spiegel on September 3. Now she and one other band member face two years in prison for their Putin protests and accused "hooliganism."
