Learn in Good, Awesomeness and The Community Board

re:redesign

the comments page is buggy.  or for whatever reason, i can't post a long comment.  maybe it's the page breaks or the /s?

either way, here are my thoughts in long-form:

(+) websites that want reader input & update their readers about their redesigns are superGOOD.  so props!

(+) the omnipresent left-hand sidebar of reader reactions is so awesome.  i've never seen anything like that on a website before, and i think i like it.  it's interesting b/c for whatever reason sometimes people are more likely to tweet or facebook comment something, rather than comment on the GOOD blog.  but being able to access all action via one page is brilliant.

(+) rss-friendly-classification is always nice!  but yeah, there are no line breaks in mine.  and also, maybe you should remind google reader-readers to update their RSS links, cos mine stopped at "al gore..." for some reason.

(+) i like the good marks/comments combo.  it shows how much traction a post/conversation is getting, and whether those points are negative or positive... i think the more points = the more GOOD, as in worthwhile read, a good conversation, a good debate.

(-) the comments thing is so confusing!  makes it troublesome to follow the flow of the conversation.

(-) the headlines of each blog post don't stand out as much anymore.

overall, though, i am supremely enjoying the new conversations via twitter, the community page and everything.  i think it has really brought a new dimension to good.is.  keep it up! (and sorry about my obnoxious failed comments ):)
