Retired Chimps See Sky and Feel Earth for the First Time

It's sad enough these creatures are made to sacrifice their freedom for tests done in the name of humans. It's heartbreaking knowing government lab chimps spend their whole lives in controlled environments with little to no contact to the natural world. Chimp Haven seeks to ease some of this by providing a safe sanctuary for chimps in retirement. Over the next year over 100 chimps will get the chance to feel the earth and see the sky for the first time.
