Return on Investment: Denver Residents Raise Taxes to Pay For Intensive Tutoring

On Election Day voters in Denver did more than legalize marijuana. They agreed to raise taxes to "dedicate $15 million to instructional support, including hiring tutors for students needing intensive intervention; $11 million for enrichment programs such as music, art and physical education; and $13 million for early-childhood education." The intensive tutoring is key, however, as that's essential to catching students up academically.
