It might be time to get a little "Terminator"-style paranoid because the Cambridge Project for Existential Risk--a cofounder of Skype is a member-- is worried that artificial intelligence "may soon pose new, extinction-level risks to our species as a whole." As in, "escaping the constraints of biology" and directing "resources towards their own goal at the expense of human desires." Gulp.
