Daisy Coleman & her family's story is all over the news right now. Local government in Maryville, Missouri dropped all charges against her rapist, Matthew Barnett, and another person who recorded it. She then became the target of shaming, bullying, and tormenting online and in real life. She appeared on national television (http://outfront.blogs.cnn.com/2013/10/14/teen-accuses-classmate-of-rape-family-says-town-chastised-them/) describing how when one receives so much negative feedback, she begins to believe it and even hate herself.
I am asking you to please counterbalance this bad with GOOD by sending a message of solidarity with Daisy to firstname.lastname@example.org to be posted on http://justicefordaisy.blogspot.com with the hopes that this can be a source of refuge for her and people who like her have been violated by attackers at times when an encouraging thought could make all the difference. Letters, videos, drawings, photographs ~ anything positive is welcome!
