Short Circuit: DIY Kitchen Appliances From Recycled Parts

This is pretty cool. Designer Gaspard Tiné-Berès has developed a system for recycling centers to rescue electronics and glass from old appliances (like a toaster or a blender) that couldn't easily be repaired. The electronics go inside new products that use natural cork to replace plastic.
