Should Designers Code?

If a designer's interest is pointed to any type of interface, I say yes, learn how to make design function and do not only focus on how design operates compositionally. Just as it's happened historically, a designer should invest in the medium specifics of his or her craft to understand and expand upon its limits and possibilities. Front end code is now a necessary tool for UI Designers as are pencils or Adobe.
