Wajeha Al-Huwaider and Fawzia Al-Oyouni, Saudi women's rights activists, were convicted June 15 of the Islamic Sharia law offense of Takhbib -- inciting a women against her husband. While they were absolved of the charge of trying to help a Canadian woman and her children escape from her allegedly abusive Saudi husband, they were sentenced to 10 months in prison and a two-year travel ban for incitement. Wajeha and Fawzia have 30 days to appeal their sentence -- you can support them by signing the Equality Now petition.
