Emily Fischer is a Brooklyn designer who focuses on tactile design, and first started making quilts when her mother started losing her eyesight. These quilts feature constellations, Emily's attempt to help connect city-dwellers with the stars. She's making just a handful of the quilts, following Slow Design principles for sustainability. I love this line: "We sell our products to people - not consumers."
