Students for Education Reform Summit, Tulane University

130+ SFER members will be in New Orleans for a weekend that will focus on the importance of relationships and communities in the organizing work we do.
FRI: (@Sojourner Truth Community Center) welcome/introduction, dinner, and panel about the current state of education in New Orleans including speakers from New Schools for New Orleans, BAEO, Leading Educators, FirstLine Schools, and the OPSB
SAT- (@Tulane, Rogers Chapel/Newcomb Hall) Senator Mike Johnston (D-Denver) will open, then skills sessions and the recruitment fair, ending with all-group bowling and pizza!
SUN- SFER update, followed by New Jersey State Senator Teresa Ruiz’s keynote address. Sunday afternoon's "unconference" sessions will be informal opportunities to explore a new topic. We’ll wrap up with lunch, state coalition meetings, and closing ceremonies.
