Music, today, is more accessible than it has ever been, but no one seems to be listening.
With one click, an artist can share their entire life's work with the entire world. But it seems, in many cases, that with growing social media, people aren't willing to filter through the onslaught of information being shared to get through to the art today's musicians are creating.
I know, as well as anyone, that top forty jams will get us through our days just fine. But after taking a look around and seeing how many struggling artists I know personally, I've decided to make it a special task to go digging through small venues, and used record stores to find new music that was created in my city by people that could use the support.
So, it has been my goal to go to at least three local shows a month in search for good music and great people.
