Upon accepting his lifetime achievement award at the 1997 Emmys, Mr. Rogers, aka "the best neighbor any of us has ever had," asked the world to "Take 10 seconds of silence to think of the people who have helped you become who you are." He did this in remembering all the people who had gotten him to that point, the special ones "who loved us into being." He finished with, "Whomever you've been thinking about, how pleased they must be to know the difference you feel they have made." What a wonderful, simple way to be in gratitude, and something that, literally takes 10 seconds to do.
