Take 5 mins to support a California bill that would require insurance companies cover mental health treatment
Where CaliforniaWhen 05/03/2013
California has passed some of the strongest
mental health & substance use parity laws
in the nation, but many of those statutes are rendered ineffective by a weak enforcement system. A recent study found that for every
dollar spent on substance use disorder
treatment, California saves $7 in criminal
justice, law enforcement, health and social
services, and other state programs. California Senate Bill 22 helps to end discrimination
against people with mental health &
substance use disorders by requiring
health insurers cover treatment for those
illnesses, just like any other medical condition. Take 5 minutes to send your Senator a message letting them know you support SB 22!
