Here's a salient reminder of just what the now limping (thank you SCOTUS) 1965 Voting Rights Act was designed to eliminate—follow the link below to take a real 'literacy' test given at polling places in Louisiana. Tests had to be completed in 10 minutes. One wrong answer and "no vote for you!"
