Team Vinny Seeks to End Killing Pets, Adopt 100% No-Kill by 2015 in Arizona
Team Vinny Arizona is a contestant in Pepsi Cola's Refresh Project which gives away millions each month in grants. On March 1st, Team Vinny submitted an idea under the "Food and Shelter" category seeking to win a $250,000 grant for their blueprint to end euthanizing healthy pets in Arizona. Team Vinny's goal is to help move the state of Arizona to adopting a 100% No Kill policy by the year 2015.
Team Vinny’s plan to end pet euthanization will take five years to implement to adqeuately fund, train and equip every pet rescue in the state who will be taught the 21st Century fundraising models they developed.
The team will travel throughout the state to teach fundraiser training seminars. They'll also conduct joint fundraisers with pet rescues and divided the money raised among the participants.
If awarded a PEPSI grant, TVA will donate $200,000 among all of the rescues throughout Arizona in the form of $500 Stipends, $1,000 Grants and $3,000 Vinny the Pug Awards. The balance will be used to establish Team Vinny Arizona's headquarters in Phoenix.
