As scientists start to understand the brain, there are numerous examples of how people are applying this knowledge. Neuromarketing is one example, where marketeers are tapping into our subconscious to deliver subliminal advertising. The Pentagon is also investing is technologies to help soldiers communicate by telepathy. I'm all in favour of applying science to our daily lives but can't find any examples of how our knowledge of brain functioning is seeking to enrich our lives. Sure there are / will be medical applications. But how can our understanding of brain function assist us in out daily routines to eliminate confrontation in our personal lives, speed up our working day, eliminate the need for so many pop-ups from Microsoft applications etc.
Does anyone know of any examples?
