Ten-Year-Old Starts Girl Power Day in Ontario

“I thought of what my life would be like if I didn’t have school,” said Olivia, the fifth-grader who started Girl Power Day, a once-a-month fundraiser at lower schools in Ontario, Canada. Outraged by the shooting of Malala Yousafazi, Oliva is raising money for girls' education. So far, she has raised $300 for Room to Read from her peers at King Edward Public School.
