The GOOD 100 Challenge: $1,000 for a Project to Promote Sharing
Thanks to the internet, sharing has never been easier. Thanks to the recession, it's become a necessity for many. In our latest print issue, The Next Big Thing, we highlight the refreshing shift from owning to sharing.
Now we're challenging our community to develop creative ways of sharing through GOOD Maker, our new platform for finding and activating great ideas. We want you to tell us how you’re improving your community by sharing, lending, or freely giving something of value to others. Whether you’re planning a clothing swap, starting a bike share program, or putting your used textbooks into the hands of cash-strapped students, we want to help your idea succeed. We're awarding a $1,000 prize to the best idea to promote sharing in your community.
To apply, submit your ideas here between now and December 8. GOOD will review each entry, and from December 8-15, we'll ask you to vote for your favorite idea. So hop on the sharing bandwagon and participate in the GOOD 100 Challenge by submitting an idea, casting your vote, and spreading the word among your networks.
Visit GOOD Maker to learn more about this and other funding opportunities, like the Occupy Design challenge or our FWD challenge to raise awareness of the famine in the Horn of Africa. And if you would like to be notified about future challenges, sign up here.
