The Hard Places: Honoring the Life of Tom Little and His Gift to the Afghan people

Filmmakers Lukas and Solome Augustin (Afghanistan- Touch Down in Flight) have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund “The Hard Places”, a documentary chronicling the extraordinary journey of American optician Tom Little and his dream to create a sustainable eye program that would train native Afghans to become eye doctors as well as establish eye clinics throughout the country to treat the thousands of people suffering from vision problems.
