The Importance of Safety in the Workplace

Workplace safety is a concern to employers and employees alike. The U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), under the guidance of the U.S. Department of Labor, report yearly on the rate of work related injuries, illness and fatalities. Today, we take a look at the 2011 OSHA and BLS statistics from all industries and how far we have come in the U.S.since OSHA was established.
