The Purchasing Power of Culture

A couple of weeks ago No Longer Empty was asked to testify at a NY City Council hearing called 'The Purchasing Power of Culture" held jointly by the Committee on Cultural Affairs and the Committee on Small Businesses. The hearing discussed how the cultural sector is essential in supporting NYCs small businesses, and how cultural attractions bring in billions in revenue annually.
Cultural organizations make our city diverse, creative, innovative... and economically vibrant. Whats not to like?
