Radiolab's blog has an amazing little story posted to bring in the New Year about an unexpected crew of animals working together to ride out a mini-flood—and Radiolab does, it's provocatively connected to the exploration of a bigger conversation, that of the innateness of self interest versus altruism... and the likely balance of those within us, rather than the one-sidedness we've come to expect is the case.
