The Winners of the Animal Architecture Awards Propose Solutions for Humans and Their Furry Friends

Urban areas are quickly becoming the densest concentrations of human life on the planet and with that comes the well documented positive and negative impacts to local biodiversity and ecologies. But humans are not the only urban creatures that have to exist in these environments. The 2012 Animal Architecture Awards called for designs that reshape, expand and redefine the context of urban thought while keeping in mind the needs of synanthropic species.
