Traveling Tea Ministry

We are Lynn and Jodi, two ladies who like tea and love the Lord!  The Lord gave us this wonderful ministry and we are so excited about it we just want to share it with everyone!  About a year or so ago we started collecting dishes from thrift stores and put together a couple of "traveling tea sets" that we take with us when we go visit our folks from church who are in nursing homes, hospitals or just anyone we feel could use a pick me up!  We just couldn't believe the response we got, everyone loved it!  Many times we were approached by staff who saw our tea and wanted to know how to get started, soooooooooooooooo we have made up "kits" that contain everything you need to have your own tea party, a kind of "tea party in a bag" if you will. To date we have handed out over 50 kits to area churches, we just want everyone to be blessed like we have been!  If someone is led to give us a donation thats great, we'll buy more dishes for more kits, but there is no charge for our kits.  Included in every Traveling Tea Set is full instructions on how to have a successful tea, complete service for at least three, some kits have up to six, but the typical set is for four, there are tea cups and saucers, spoons, tea, sugars, napkins and a linen tablecloth or doilie, again depending on the size of the kit, we also include a scripture box, which we use to open and close with, we let our guest pick the scripture out of the box and read it, its a great ice breaker, especially if you don't know the person your visiting, but don't worry, after your visit you'll have the blessing of a new friend.  When we set out on this journey, we didn't know any of our shut ins, now, we feel privileged to know them all!  If you would be interested in starting a traveling tea ministry in your church please let us know, we have kits all over the area and even as far away as IRELAND!
