Trump Refuses To Say He’ll Accept Election Results

'That’s horrifying’

Donald Trump was actually doing pretty well in this debate. In fact, he was probably winning. And then he just lost it in a big way.

When asked by moderator Chris Wallace if he’ll accept the results the election (presuming he loses, and he’s totally going to lose), Trump took the truly unprecedented move of saying he won’t necessarily abide by a constitutional system that has peacefully ensured the transfer of power for more than 200 years.

“I will look at it at the time,” Trump said.

“She should never have been allowed to run for the presidency. And in that sense, I say it’s rigged,” Trump said, trying to shift the conversation away from his historically insane answer, perhaps recognizing what a huge mistake he’d just made.

But when pressed repeatedly by Wallace, Trump doubled down and repeatedly his shocking answer, telling the moderator, audience and millions people watching at home:

“What I’m saying is that I’ll tell you at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense,” Trump said.

With a look of genuine shock on her face, Hillary Clinton simply responded saying, “That’s horrifying.”

Continuing, she added, “This is how Donald thinks. It’s funny but it’s also very troubling. This is not how democracy works.”

And here we are once again at a point almost no one could have imagined. Just when it seemed like Trump’s campaign couldn’t go any lower he just took the greatest experiment in freedom in democracy in the history of the human race and effectively said, “Meh.”
