UNICEF's work against Child Trafficking
According to the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children (2000), child trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of children for the purpose of exploitation. Trafficking is a violation of children's rights, their well-being and denies them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Learn more about how UNICEF is working with partners around the world to help combat trafficking.
