US Welfare - Kill It or Keep It ?

In the history of social welfare, the US welfare state has always met a lot of opposition, just like in many other advanced economies.

Many decades ago, it seemed simply an unsustainable aberration. But many economists today affirm that wealth redistribution policies – though not always in the form of pure welfare – make sense for the greater good and to foster the capabilities of all citizens.
