Violence Against Women Act Debacle and Why I'm Excited for the More Diverse 113th Congress

In summation, Republican men couldn't swallow the addition of protection for diverse communities in the VAWA, and the landmark legislation went to die in the arms of the most do-nothing congress in our history. Apparently violence against women wasn't a priority. Let's hope it is a priority for the 113th congress-- which will be the most diverse in our history.
