Two-thirds of consumers say they prefer to buy from companies that have implemented programs to give back to society, according to a 2012 Nielson report. More than ever, shoppers, especially Millenials and families with Millennials, are thinking twice about what companies deserve their time and money. Socially conscious consumers consider personal shopping as an opportunity to do charity work. At a glance, appearance can hint that someone is saving the world by way of their wallet.
