President Obama has the chance to make history by appointing the first woman chair of the Federal Communications Commission. The chair of the FCC is expected to step down this year and Mignon Clyburn is considered a front-runner to fill the slot. In addition, Julie Brill may be named chair of the Federal Trade Commission, a position that is currently vacant.
