Bookpod is all about keeping "books of lasting value" alive. That means backlist, all the great books you meant to get aroundto reading but didn't. I'm reading "Stripped in the People's Republic of China," Jane Gilman's memoir of being 21, young, and really stupid in 1986 when she and a college pal decided to drop into the People's Republic of China and experience an authentic Chinese lifestyle. The best-laid plans... Without Bookpod, I wouldn't even have known this highly readable volume had ever been published. Additional titles are that good and compelling, too.
