There is a foundation in Los Angeles I work with, the Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation, who is running a campaign for Father’s Day appropriately named Dedications 2 Dads. The organization provides 24-hour (yes, 24-hour!) relief to single caregivers to help them stay at the bedside of their terminally-ill children. I didn’t get to go to Austin this year for the SXSW interactive conference (I’m going to NTEN instead).

I did however get to remotely participate (via Twitter) in Nonprofit Social Media guru Beth Kanter’s excellent workshop on ROI (Return on Investment) for Nonprofit Social Media campaigns. Not only was the presentation formatted as a Poetry Slam (genius!), but it offered excellent perspectives from a number of pioneers in the field of nonprofit tech or social media…
