An Open-Source, 3D-Printed Hand for Kids Without Fingers

When a South African carpenter lost his fingers in an accident, he decided to try to make a robotic hand that would allow him to keep working. Working online with a props designer thousands of miles away in the United States, and a 3D printer, he eventually had a working prototype, and realized that they could help many others, including a five-year-old who was born without a hand. The files are available open-source for anyone to download.
