Two Years After Fukishima, A Community Comes Together to Build a Solar Future For the Kids

Two years ago today "a magnitude-9 earthquake triggered a series of tsunami that swallowed Northeast Japan," leading to multiple meltdowns at the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant. Now the mayor of Minami-Soma, a town 16-miles away from the plant, and a former exceutive of Tepco, the company that ran Fukishima, are charting "a new course for the devastated region" that will provide solar power, educate kids about solar, and give them hands-on experience with it.
