Why's Sesame Street Talking About Incarceration? Because 2.7 Million Kids Have Parents Behind Bars

Can you tell me how to get to...Riker's Island? Sesame Street recently paid a visit to the infamous New York City prison as part of their new program, Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration. During my years as a teacher, I saw how hard it is for kids when their parents get locked up. Too often, their grades nosedive and their emotional health suffers. Fortunately, this initiative gives children and their families much-need tools to cope. Kudos to Sesame Street for stepping up to help.
