God Is a Boob Man—we knew it all along
Recently, there’s been a swell of Christian-focused movies at the multiplex. Think Captive, starring Kate Mara and David Oyelowo; Risen with Joseph Fiennes or 90 Minutes in Heaven featuring Kate Bosworth and Hayden Christensen. They haven’t gone up like a house on fire at the box office, but with about 70 percent of Americans identifying as Christian there is definitely an audience producers can tap into for cash — and promotion of faith and good morals, of course.
And since gay marriage was legalized it was really only a matter of time before a high stakes courtroom drama about a couple of gays foisting their politics on a humble small town cake maker came rushing out of Hollywood. Well, at least it was only a matter of time before a fake trailer for that movie rushed out of Saturday Night Live. For God Is A Boob Man we see Vanessa Bayer pitted against two insidious gays as she fights for her right to deny them basic goods and services. It’s a real nailbiter.
