The green jobs evangelist Van Jones (profiled in GOOD 010 here) is heading to Washington to take a new gig of his own: Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. He won't really be a czar. As TreeHugger reports, he'll be more like a green Rasputin (ignore the connotations), working for CEQ Chair Nancy Sutley, Obama's principal advisor on the environment.
The White House blog has more.
