ExxonMobile’s Still Funding “Research” That Says Climate Change Is a Sham

  • Posted by: Siobhan O'Connor

It’s creepy how certain industries still can’t get with the program. I understand how much is at stake for them financially, that traditional business logic says fight to the death to protect your profits, and that change is (sniff!) hard. But for the largest oil company in the world—the one that’s helping out on a new EV, no less—to still be doling out bucks to lobby groups that insist the public is being misled about climate change? That’s just nuts.

There’s a great piece by Bob Ward, who has been onto Exxon for almost a decade, about why they should be taken to task, here. He links to pretty much all the research and data you could want on the subject.

From my own reading, one article on ice core samples from the arctic show that average temperatures were higher in the times of Cesar than they are now.Now the green house effect is certainly true. We should certainly be doing something about our influence and control of the environment. We should also realize that some things are out side our control.
