A Gay Mike Pence Lookalike Is Putting On A Skimpy Outfit For Great Causes

‘Here’s what I did to make change,” says the man taking to the streets to funds charities.

If you’re a gay guy in 2016 Mike Pence is probably the last guy you’d want to physically resemble. But 51-year-old Glen Pannell, who bears a passing resemblance to the Vice President-elect, has decided to take ownership of the unfortunate coincidence and do something good with it.

How?

By playing Mike Pence-in-hot-pants in Times Square to collect donations for causes that are dear to his heart and very far from Pence’s heart. Those include Planned Parenthood, The Trevor Project, and The Natural Resources Defense Council. No doubt there’s something in that array for most everyone who opposes Pence’s policies and positions.

Like so many others, Pannell felt compelled to do something after the shocking election of Donald Trump and Mike Pence. He took to the hot pants after realizing:

“The depression kept feeding on itself so I finally decided I had to do something, and it had to be bold and immediate, something I could point to at the end of the day and say, ‘Here’s what I did to make change’.”

Pannell, a graphic designed and “part-time actor,” got a big following for his act after Howard Stern interviewed him for his satellite radio show.

He’s developing a strong following for both his principles and his fun approach to fundraising, so it’s no surprise that many would rather see “Mike Hot-Pence” in office than the elected Indiana governor.

See the man in action, complete with short-shorts, in the pics below:
